School Resource Officer

The School Resource Officer is employed jointly by the Bennington Police Department and Mount Anthony Union High School. His main purpose is to assist in providing a safe and secure environment for students, teachers and staff. He is an excellent resource for teachers, parents and students in dealing with individual problems or questions with respect to delinquency prevention and the law. Consistent with board policy and legal requirements, school resource officers also provide law enforcement support when needed. In addition, he is an educator who visits classes to teach subjects related to alcohol and drug awareness as well as legal issues.
