Music Theory & Composition

This is a course exploring the elements of music and how they are put together. The focus of this course is songwriting. Students will be creating their own songs and learning to read and write music. Students planning on majoring in music in college will need to have this course. Students will use computers, Sibelius2 music program and be a part of the Vermont Midi Project.
