Art 1 Basic Drawing and Design

A studio workshop where students explore basic design principles. Instruction will focus on increasing the student's powers of observation and his/her ability to draw and create. Included will be identification of basic forms, an understanding of space, color theory and mixing, and fundamentals of two-dimensional design. There will also be discussion of artists and their works through slides, videotapes and prints. Sketchbook required.
