English 11B Literature & Composition
Course emphasis is on American literature. Students will be required to read one book from the summer reading book list and to complete one project from the assigned list.
This level is designed to prepare students who wish to attend a two-year technical education program more than a four-year postsecondary program. Over a four-year period, courses include the study of the short story, novels, plays, poems, fiction and non fiction, vocabulary, paragraph and composition writing, and grammar. An average of 30 minutes per evening of homework will be expected of the students in this program.
