English 10 Honors Literature & Composition



Course emphasis is on the study of world literature with a focus on postcolonial themes, gender dynamics, class struggle and globalization. Readings include literature from Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Classics will be used to examine how the human spirit contends with external and internal challenges. Literary analysis begins with an examination of text for diction, imagery, sentence structure, syntax, language and details. Students will be expected to complete 3 summer reading texts and compute assigned work related to these texts. Assignments are available from the Literature and Composition Department Head Teacher.
